Dr. Rachel Amodio has experience working with adults with a variety of psychological issues including mood and psychotic disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, personality disorders, and developmental disabilities. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She also has training and experience in conducting cognitive and psychological assessments.

Dr. Amodio received her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology with a Minor in Biology from Marywood University. She also received her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Marywood University, with a concentration in Adult Clinical Services. Dr. Amodio completed her doctoral degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, with a concentration in health psychology. She completed an externship at Drexel College of Medicine providing outpatient psychotherapy and assessment to adults diagnosed with a variety of chronic medical issues. Dr. Amodio then completed an externship at Norristown State Hospital, a Pennsylvania state inpatient psychiatric facility. Here, Dr. Amodio provided individual and group psychotherapy on the women’s unit, as well as completed psychological and cognitive assessments throughout the hospital.

Dr. Amodio completed her internship at Woodbridge Developmental Center where she provided group therapy and behavioral assessments to adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities. She also provided individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment for adults at the Family Resource Center, an outpatient facility of Trinitas Regional Medical Center. Dr. Amodio is a member of the New Jersey Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
